Frankfurt Minibus Hire, from the Römer to the Rhine
Frankfurt is compact at its heart, and the Rhine is an hour away. A minibus and a driver suit a family visit, a club trip or wedding guests who want the Römerberg in the morning and a Rheingau wine village by the afternoon.
The centre in quick stops
Most of Frankfurt's coach places are quick stops of up to 15 minutes, just long enough for a group to step out. For the Römerberg, the Paulskirche and the Goethe-Haus, the stop is on Berliner Straße by the Paulskirche; for the Kaiserdom, it is Am Pfarrturm, right beside the cathedral.
Longer parking is on Theodor-Stern-Kai in Sachsenhausen, near the museums, or on Breitenbachstraße in Bockenheim. Nearly every place is paid by mobile phone and none can be reserved, so the driver chooses on the day.

Inside the motorway ring
The Umweltzone is everything within the ring formed by the A5, A3 and A661, though not those motorways. A green sticker is needed there, foreign vehicles included, and coaches get no general exemption.
Frankfurt has never had a diesel ban. One was threatened after a 2018 court ruling but never took effect.

The Rheingau, the Rhine and further
Kloster Eberbach is about 53 km away and Rüdesheim about 64 km, each around an hour, which makes the Rheingau wine villages an easy day. The Loreley at St. Goarshausen is about 91 km, an hour and a half.
Between Wiesbaden and Koblenz no bridge crosses the Rhine for about 90 km. Places on the far bank, such as Bacharach, need a ferry or a long detour, so it is simplest to plan the day on one side of the river.
Heidelberg is about 91 km, the Residenz in Würzburg about 120 km, and Rothenburg ob der Tauber about 182 km, a full day there and back.
Flights and trains
Frankfurt Airport is only about 13 km from the Römerberg, 15 to 20 minutes outside the rush hour. Airlines keep moving between terminals, so pick-ups are planned around the terminal on your booking. At the Hauptbahnhof, building work changes the walking routes to the platforms; give a group off an ICE a few extra minutes.
Questions travellers ask
Can we spend an evening in Alt-Sachsenhausen?
Yes. The apple-wine taverns have two short stops nearby, at Dreieichstraße 20 by the Klappergasse and on Walter-Kolb-Straße, each for up to 15 minutes. The driver drops you there and collects you at a set time.
Can a group of 30 visit the Kaiserdom?
Groups there are capped at 25 plus a guide, so 30 people need two groups. For a longer tour, register with the parish office at least two days ahead; there are no tours during services.
Is the MAIN TOWER suitable for a group?
Yes, with registration in advance, although it is not a fixed time slot. Expect airport-style security checks; large bags and backpacks are not allowed, so leave them on the minibus.
Does the Städel take groups?
Yes, from 10 people, and every group registers in advance. The museum closes on Mondays. There is a coach stop with two places on Dürerstraße, and coach parking there cannot be reserved.
