From First Message to Last Drop-Off
Booking a minibus for your group takes four steps: you describe the day, we find an operator, a quote comes back, and on the day the driver collects you. Here is what each step involves.
1. Describe the day
Send the date, how many are travelling and where everyone needs collecting. List the stops in the order you'd like them, with any fixed times such as a castle tour, a boat departure or a dinner booking, and say roughly when the day should end.
A few extra details help: how much luggage, pushchairs or sports bags you're bringing, whether anyone uses a wheelchair, and whether children are travelling. In a car or a light minibus, a child under 12 and shorter than 150 cm needs a child seat; in a bus over 3.5 t that rule does not apply.
2. We match an operator
We look for a partner operator with the right size of vehicle free on your date, close enough to start the day sensibly. For a long outing it plans the driving around the EU drivers' hours, building in the compulsory breaks.
3. Your quote
One quote covers the trip: the vehicle type, the hours, the route as planned and the cancellation terms. Nothing is charged until you accept it. If you change your mind about a stop, ask before you accept and the figure is updated.
For a couple's car on a wedding day, book the waiting time as part of the job. After a booking ends, a Mietwagen has to head back to its base unless another booking has already come in, so one longer booking keeps the car with you.
4. On the day
The driver arrives at the agreed place, and the operator remains in charge of the route, safety and rest breaks. Changes on the day go through us, so the operator always has the latest plan. Seat belts are worn wherever they are fitted.
Questions travellers ask
How far ahead should we book?
The earlier the better in summer, during Advent and around big festivals, when vehicles are in demand. Short-notice requests are still worth sending.
Can we add a stop on the day?
Often, if the driver's hours and the timetable allow. Ask us first, so the operator can confirm the change.
What if our numbers change after booking?
Tell us as soon as you know. A few more or fewer guests may still fit; a bigger change can mean a different vehicle and a new quote.
